This page is half yours and half mine...
Half yours for I would like to make it a place so that globally foreigners coming to Japan and particularly foreigners entering any University find useful information going into the process of study, living in order to fully enjoy their potential while being in Japan.
Half mine for being totally free to write here about some of my experiences and what I find interesting or entertaining...You can enjoy my favourite pictures too! In one word this page is to all!!

First of all there is one thing you should consider...Japan is surely a large budget country but it's also having one of the most expensive school fees...
So here is my advice, once you HAVE TO study here as an answer to why, you should now think of how you can make it easy on yourself.

You have 2 kind of learning systems in Japan : public and private schools, yeah I know it's the same as everywhere else. Only in Japan the private system makes you pay much more(often twice the fees of public schools!) than most countries.
As a result your chances are left to try public Universities and colleges, but the thing is to stick to the contents of what you want to study, not the name for how they call it!!! I had a friend who wanted to study electronics(denki denshi kougaku) but he was just applying to Universities that offered the course with that name when some others where calling it "kikai denshi kougaku" or just denki kougaku". So be careful about the contents, not the names!

Universities are mostly rated according to the quality of learning they offer...So I have reviewed almost any Public University and College in Japan for you to start on a pratically safe base.
Click on a link below to go my ranking of Universities and colleges(in English) or to other pages treating about the same subject...mostly in Japanese.
Visit our Link section for a list of DD scripts that are popular to the visitors.
One of my favourites!
