| The international correspondence to acid
rain is progressing centering on the European
countries where damage is serious. A "long-distance border-transgression
air pollution treaty", the "Helsinki protocol", and the "Sofia protocol" were concluded. The measure of discharge
control of SOx or nitrogen oxide is advanced.
Yet, in Japan, there is no report of the
damage by acid rain. However, according to
the result of "acid rain measure investigation"
by the Environment Agency, pH four sets of
acid rain are observed nationally. We are
anxious about influence appearing in the
future. For this reason, development of the
monitoring investigation about acid rain,
an influence forecasting model, etc. is promoted
succeedingly. |
