I have an ft200 a ftdx402 and a ft101zd.... I am 76 yrs old ! ! ! ! i love the older equipments.. !! !! can i change the driver stage of the ftdx401 so that it some to 10 watts output only... removing one of the power valves mayhelp in this direction ??

Very good web site. I am looking for some help.I have an Allied A-2515 A2515 receiver. The air variable capacitor for the BFO is broken and I am not having any luck finding a replacement over here. I really like your information pages on the FTDX400. I just got one at a hamfest this weekend. It is clean and came with matching speaker and FV-401 remote VFO. The receive works but not well as it has been in storage for many years. According to your charts it is a SECOND edition with the 6GK6 driver.It has the silver legs. I hope to have it operating in a few weeks after a good alignment and new finals. 73 Jan VE2JL

ＹＡＨＯＯで”無線機 歴史”でここにきました。無線の生い立ちは わたしとそっくり。ホームは明石ですが９５年時会社は神戸。おかげ でリストラで独立しましたが。知り合いの村上工業さんのむすこさんが たしかＳ社の奈良におつとめだったはず。優秀なむすこさんらしい です。

Nice homebrew AM Stereo RX, OM! What will you use it for on 20 m. band??? Here in the USA, transmitting music is not permitted on amateur radio. Is there AM stereo broadcasting in Japan? Here, the FCC never chose a transmission standard for a long time, and there was not much consumer interest, so I think AM stereo broadcasting is rare. That was too bad about your beautiful old house being destroyed in the earthquake. Here in the San Francisco bay area earthquake in 1990, we had no damage at our house, but I had been driving on both the Bay Bridge about 10 minutes before it collapsed, and on the large section of freeway in Oakland only about 5 minutes before it collapsed!
